Organic farming

Organic farming which has become extinct in Kotra. In the past years, the farmers here used to use only completely organic fertilizers in their farming, which in today’s time have changed to usage of only chemical fertilizers. In the past years, farmers had their own seeds for farming, which were organic but in today’s times the farming system has become dependent on the seeds in the market. With the intention of re-establishing organic farming in Kotra, KAS is working on setting up a model of organic farming at their office space. We have also collaborated with 80 to 100 farmers who will re-initiate organic farming thus encouraging other farmers to adopt the same. This will help us in converting chemical farming into organic farming.
